Arête des Comiques Sector

Sector to the right of the Dalle des Vaudois.

Gravière sector: Ideal for teaching climbing. Very well equipped with belays of two, non-linked, bolts. Up to 40m high. The foot of the routes is not very pleasant, (little shade and some dust, plus the motorway is only 500m away.)

In the Rhône Valley with a very easy access. The longer routes are described under the "summit" Dorénaz

You can see part of the climbing area as you enter the village of Dorénaz, from Martigny. For the Carrière and Demi-lune sectors take the road through les Follataires and towards Fully for 200m until it is possible to park, (crag visible from the road.)

The site is also easily reached from the "Vernayaz" railway station in about 10mins on foot, (Dalle des Vaudois.) You can see the crag from the station and there is a footpath that crosses the motorway.
