Belvedere di Fosse

Good climbing in a magnificent situation with superb views towards the Grand Paradiso
Mainly single pitch routes, with a recommendable 3 pitch route:
Les Grenouilles: 3 pitches of 5b/5c, each about 20m. The route starts next to a little cave, an awkward overhang then a leftward slanting crack, about 6 routes to the left of where the approach path reaches the crag. Sustained and varied climbing.

There is a plan of all the routes at the foot of the crag.
The grades on this plan do not match those in Mani Nude 2!
Flat area beneath the crag, excellent for sun-bathing.

In the Valsavarenche valley. Just before you reach the end village of Pont there is the Hotel Genzianella. Take the road behind the hotel for 100m to a barrier. Cars are not allowed beyond this point. Limited parking. Walk up the track for 50m to a path on the left which goes past some new water workings, metal grills. After about 20mins you get to a a point where you go back into the larch trees. A pylon is clearly visible down on your left and on the right are some black, dirty slabs. A path turns of right here, rises out of the trees to go up to the foot of the crag, 30mins in total. If you go straight on at the 20 min junction you come to the foot of some rocks with newish bolts. This is Di Fronte al Paradiso, (7 pitches 5b) The Belvedere di Fosse crag is a 5/10 min traverse away to the right.
