The most interestingly-shaped peak over 50 meters high on the coasts of France. Overlooks the Calanque or Anse de Figuerolles by the city of La Ciotat, less than 1 km from the Parc du Mugel. Neighbor of another interestingly-shaped (but taller and more visible peak): the Bec d'Aigle. If the Capucin were bigger, it would be famous.
There is a small sport-climbing crag on its NE face (routes at difficulty around 5b to 6a). Also another small sport-climbing Figuerolles Ecole crag along the approach route from the Anse de Figuerolles to the Capucin peak.
