Gneiss boulders under the shade of beech and pine trees, just several kilometres above Sallanches.
The gneiss is sometimes abrasive, sometimes already polished. The rock is fairly mossy with the flat holds covered in resiny, pine needles and beech leaves. The ground beneath the boulders is mainly soft, though there are some rocky landings, requiring a crash pad. Other boulders a high enough to need care and a partner/spotter.
Means of descent
Some bolts on the top of the bigger boulders.
Often biting flies present, cover the arms and legs!
On private ground, please keep clean etc.
From the parking, go about 150m to the E.
