The hut is in a particularly pleasant corner of the Mont Blanc, at the foot of the Monts Rouges de Triolet.

The rock routes from this hut are of an excellent quality on superb granite and given their relatively low altitude can be in condition from the end of May to mid September. Descriptions for most of the routes can be found on the internet here
The hut was originally built in 1932, then enlarged in the 80’s and in 2003.

pedestrian access

Park the car at Arnouva (Val Ferret, Italy). In summer there can be restrictions but then navettes run from Courmayeur - La Palud.

A good path leads all the way to the hut. First follow the main path (Tour du Mont Blanc), NE for several hundred metres before turning off to the left to go down and cross the river, (bridge.) The path goes up steeply at first on a moraine ridge to the left of a cliff, then a rising traverse before under the cliffs of Pareti di Titanei. Continue along under the cliffs until scrambling up steeply next to a gully, (partially equipped, firstly on the left then on the right side) to reach a traverse path before the final climb up to the hut. (2-2.5h)

Mid June to mid September
