A nice way to go from Pioneer to Chancellor Hut while having a look at the huge Franz Josef Glacier and Centennial Hut.

It's better to fly out from Chancellor: cheaper and easier for the helicopter to fly when clouds form above the rainforest.
Description
From Pioneer Hut, ski down to Albert Glacier, then reach Mt Von Bulow through some steep slopes. Ski crampons or crampons might be necessary.
Ski back down to Albert Glacier, follow it on the right-hand side avoiding the crevasses (but be careful not to head down to Victoria Glacier). Stay on the right-hand side under Chancellor Dome.
Ski down until about the altitude of about 1500 meters. Look for a sign pole on the moraine, above a cliff. Look for a way to hike/ skin back up to the moraine top. Then ski/ hike down to Chancellor hut.
