The access to the Borelli Bivouac, worth doing in its own right. An old fashioned via ferrata

Access Drive up Val Veny until a turn of to right signposted to a camping and Peuterey.

Route 2h to 2h50
From the parking at Purtud, (Peuterey chalets), follow the path along the floor of the valley until a signposted, (Borelli 2h50), on the right. The path initially follows the true left bank of the torrent before crossing and going up the true right bank, (left looking up.) Just before the path reached the foot of the rocks it trends left and upwards until the first chain is reached, (about 1h). Follow the chains, with some awkward and exposed sections, plus a couple of ladders, until it reaches the hanging valley, (Fauteuil des Allemands,) on the left side; again about 1h.
The last section is an easy path which traverses upwards and to the right, across the combe to the hut nestled under a cliff on the right.
Descent: same way

Worth using a rope if nervous,
The hut has 20 bunks with blankets, a separate kitchen with cooking utensils etc

Sensitive areas
There are sensitive areas on this route. Please refer to the map.

Via ferrata gear, helmet , 20m rope advisable
