If you decide to leave your car at Dranse, there is a possibility to catch a bus from Liddes. (In winter 2015 there were two buses a day to the Bourg Saint Bernard carpark, leaving Liddes at 12.05 amd 14.10)
From the Bourg Saint Bernard car park, follow the normal route to the Saint Bernard hospice, about 2hrs.

From the Hospice du Grand St-Bernard (It is also possible to start directly from Bourg Saint-Bernard) follow the road over the col into Italy. Descend, via the tunnel to Montagna Baus.
Go up to the right to the Fenêtre de Ferret (2698m).
From here one has the option to leave your skis and climb up the W ridge to the summit of the Pointe de Drône and back the same way.
Descend the N side of the Fenetre and keeping the Fenetre lakes on your leftcontinue in the same direction to the col de l'Arpalle (2656m).
Descend again, about 150m, then still in the same direction, go up the gentle slopes to the col du Névé de la Rousse (2752m).

Descend NNE from the col, passing to the right of a rock spire, (le Parron,) and follow, at first the true left bank and then the true right bank, of the Combe de l'A. Depending upon conditions, it is possible to exit the cwm at Dranse or by the track leading to the Bavon ski station.

The route passes next to a Fauna Protection Zone. The authorised tracks are indicated on signposts and it is important to stay on these.
Though the route is not technical, it is a long way.
The descents face N
