Approach

From Planpraz, (mid station of the Brevent lift,) follow the Lac Cornu path. The route starts at the first buttress you come to at the side of the path, before a scree slope., (bolt and thin sling.)

Route

First Buttress
L1 (4c) - L2 (4b) – second belay on a bolt and tree, than a faint path to the left (W) to the 2nd buttress
Second Buttress
L3 (4c) pass a short, steep section to the right - L4 (4b), then a very faint path to the 3rd buttress on the left (W).
Third Buttress
L5 (5a) - L6 (4c) - L7 (4a), From the 7th belay traverse 15m to the right.
L8 (4b) - L9 (4b), then cross a scree and rock slope for about 100 metres to the left, to the foot of the last buttress.
Fourth Buttress
L10 (4c)

Descent

Get back down from the last buttress to the right (E), then join the path coming down from the Clocher-Clochetons which leads back to Planpraz.

remarks

• A pleasant route, 250m of varied climbing, easy to follow, never serious, (escape at each buttress.)
• Possibility to continue by doing the traverse of the Clocher-Clochetons.
• For the first few pitches the bolts are close together. Higher up they are further apart but extra protection can easily be placed.
