Description
El konkordiahutte es un refugio enorme, que incluso en invierno y en ausencia del guardia está bien equipado, con mantas, leña, instrumentos de cocina y teléfono.
Hay agua cerca.
Cuando se construyó el primer refugio, en 1850, el glaciar estaba más o menos a la misma altura, sin embargo hoy ha descendido más de 100 metros. Aún así el glaciar en ese punto tiene 900 metros de espesor.
La progresiva disminución del glaciar obliga cada año a añadir escaleras para poder ganar el glaciar.
